Duolingo’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Course Update Teaches You to Command Dragons

Sport of Thrones followers can discover ways to command dragons within the collection’ constructed language with Duolingo’s latest replace to its Excessive Valyrian course. The language-learning app is including 159 new vocabulary words, Game of Thrones situation-specific language and grammar concepts to the language course, it mentioned Tuesday.

The replace comes as followers await the discharge of Sport of Thrones prequel Home of the Dragon, which kicks off on HBO and HBO Max on Aug. 21. These excited about fine-tuning their Excessive Valyrian can discover ways to make excuses, talk about cooking, speak about themselves and command dragons like Daenerys Targaryen.

Excessive Valyrian is a “conlang,” or constructed language that linguist David J. Peterson created for the HBO collection. Duolingo partnered with Peterson in 2019 to create a Excessive Valyrian course on the app.
